Golf Day 2023

What an honour to receive this award in my Mums name from The Canadian Parliament and the Love for Children Society Canada.

Thank you to my cousin Ashid Bahl whose amazing kindness, hard work and incredible charity provides to so many in need.

Hi Ashwin

Airstrip Ballers are a Basketball team in the village of Pearls in the Parish of St.Andrew, Grenada WI. The team's home court is  located adjacent to the Old Airport Runway, hence the team name.
The team have been operational for approximately six year but have been relatively low key as they lacked the funding to protray themselves in appropriate clothing for play.

Hitherto the players, all from the village, have had fund their Uniforms from their meagre earnings. This sponsorship from the  Sudesh Bedi Memorial Fund have enabled the team to have a sense of pride in their appearance on and off the Court which have encouraged a number of younger players to become involved and interested in the Team.

Airstrip Ballers are looking forward to make an impression in the next St.Andrew Basketball League competitions and all the neighbouring Village Competitions.
Again we want to say a Heartfelt thank you to Sudesh Bedi Memorial Fund for their kind donation of the Basketball Uniform.
We are looking forward to keeping you informed of our progress.

Kester Gordon, Captain, Airstrip Ballers.

Full article below...

Thank you for your support.

Our new Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital is now open and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has made this happen. More than 3,000 generous patients, families, supporters and staff have together raised an incredible £1.1million – by donating, running, cycling, climbing, abseiling, baking and dancing – to make the Cancer Centre a reality.

The new Cancer Centre at Guy’s brings together most treatment under one roof – previously cancer care was provided in 13 different locations in eight different buildings on the St Thomas’ and Guy’s sites.

It is the first cancer centre in Europe to provide radiotherapy treatment above ground level after patients said this would make a huge difference to them.

The new Cancer Centre at Guy’s also brings together treatment and research in an Innovation Hub. We want every patient to take part in clinical trials that could speed up our search for better treatments and, ultimately, to cure cancer.

Once again thank you for all your donations

We also support Ashid Bahl’s - For The Love Of Children Society

Ashid Bahl  just got back from India and Nepal where he has finished the first phase of  the Ahmednagar Art's College India. One of the main Hall at the college is now dedicated in the memory of Sudesh Bedi. This school was first started under a tree 20 years ago where Ashid helped build the primary & secondary schools. The children still did not have access to higher education because of poverty and the lack of facility in this area. We are pleased to be associated with this charity.
